The music the cider, the telling of the Savior's birth. It is just such a magical lovely holiday! This year I am even more excited, because I am GETTING MARRIED. It is interesting how things work out, and I am very grateful for a loving family and Heavenly Father who have been with me through it all.

Wedding plans have been stressful. Even when I thought everything was done there always seem to be little details that I have to make decisions on or get done. PLANNING A WEDDING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SEMESTER IS NOT A GOOD IDEA. And I am 100% positive it wouldn't have happened without my wonderful mother who has graciously devoted extensive amounts of her own time and money into the planning process.

It is going to be a wonderful day and I am so excited to get married and to spend a great day celebrating it with family and friends. It is going to be quite the party!

As for right now I am extremely ready for Thanksgiving Break, my real break begins after Wednesday morning and I am SO READY for it! Thankfully I finished up the tests and assignments that I needed to last Thursday/Friday, so I don't have anything but work.

Today I go with my mom and Bethany to go visit Melissa Blackburn and make final decisions and touches on my wedding dress! Having my dress made has been such a fun enjoyable process! This picture above is of me and my friend Tiara at a wedding reception. I have been to a lot of wedding receptions this summer (8 so far...). This one I actually went to with my boyfriend Nelson's family. It was the wedding of one of his old friend's. He actually had to work so he couldn't make it himself. I rode up with his family to Holladay Utah and when we walked up the driveway I commented on how it looked a lot like my friend Tiara's house, but I wasen't sure since I hadn't been there since the summer of my freshman year (2008). Sure enough it was! Turns out the bride is her husband's younger sister! It was really fun to get to see Tiara and to hang out with Nelson's parents (Amy and Lance) and his two younger siblings (Lorenzo 15, and Eliza 13).

This summer I have just been working a lot, I am still at the BYU OIT Service Desk and the job is treating me pretty well. It is fun that Nelson works in the same building that I do so we can sometimes take our lunches and breaks together [=

My birthday is coming up on the 27th! I am going to be the big 21 and I am pretty excited [= then two days later school starts up again! My friend and future roommate Alexis King is also moving into my apartment on the 25th of this month which is sure to be fun!

Anyways, just thought I would post a short update! I will hopefully blog again soon!

I was also very impressed with Mom's cooking! She was using Tracy's recipes and it was all very yummy [=

I love you Mom and am very happy to have such a wonderful mother! You are amazing! Here I am sitting in the Chemistry lab, laboriously waiting for pages to load...for the words I'm typing to show up, for my stomach to stop growling and suddenly I'm thinking of mom. This one's for you. [=

This morning I woke up at ten after six (ten minutes late) and I quickly dressed myself getting ready to meet up with Eric to walk to work (sorry mom, I didn't make my bed, so no picture yet!) when he calls saying he's two minutes away. So I sadly brush my teeth without eating breakfast... luckily I grabbed a nutragrain (sp?) bar. That lasted me oh....thirty seconds. So upon reaching work and turning all of the computers on etc, I realized again how thankful I am for vending machines. I was able to get another peanut butter nature bar and milk. (all this talk of food is making me hungry...)

Then onto work, which went very well, I am very thankful for my job, it's great! After that music followed. After Music I went home and found that I was locked out. I wish I wasen't such a stickler for locking the door.... SO, I called Laura and asked where Marci (my RA) lives. Her directions seemed simple enough, so I went and knocked on the door I assumed was hers. Nope, I was wrong. The girl in my ward who answered was like, "Did someone say she was here? She should be upstairs" and here I am "No, no one said she was home I just came to look for her, I'll go check upstairs" So I tromp up the stairs going to what I THINK is the office when I notice that Marci's room is right there. Main floor. With her name on the door. That took a toll on my pride (hah). So I knocked.... and no one answered. I was beginning to think of my window....when I realized that I have back door neighbors! (Their apartment's back door meets up with mine to the outside door) Then my heart sunk again...I knew I had locked that door the other night. So with a heavy heart I knocked on my neighbors door. This really cute red head answered (I played games with her last night, she's cool...I just don't remember her name). After explaining that I was locked out she had no problem with letting me through her dorm to see if I could get in my back door. SUCCESS! I made it in. Not fifteen minutes later two of my roommates showed up...ohwell.

Well, I guess I could write more, but PDBIO begins in twenty minutes and if I don't feed the angry beast no one will be able to hear the lecture.

love you mom [=Rosalia Badger Longhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00043628566308674397noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8076340165867093259.post-7610182855489305002008-10-13T20:24:00.001-07:002008-10-13T20:34:05.891-07:00Mom!

This one's for you. [= I love you!!! School and work and friends keep me busy at all hours, but I'm loving it [= My calling in the ward is Activities for Relief Society Enrichment, [= My best friend out here, besides my sisters of course, is Laura Lindsey! Here's a picture of us two at the last football game. She's an awesome girl from South Jordan Utah! I still have not decorated my dorm room... I'm so lazy! We'll see, I don't spend much time in it anyways! Today Jessica got back from Disney Land! I'm so jealous! And I went over to her house for dinner and a little bit of catching up! I'm so thankful to have family out here! I'm still trying to figure out how I'm going to get an exercise program implemented into my schedule! But I will! IT SNOWED here just the other night! It's so cold! I'm so excited for Christmas already! I can't wait to see everyone and to be HOME. My good friend Jarett who goes to BYU just got baptized this past Saturday! It was an amazing experience, Laura, Sydni and I sang "Come Thou Fount" accompanied by our friend Justin! Well, that's all for now. x's and o's

~RosaliaRosalia Badger Longhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00043628566308674397noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8076340165867093259.post-57192749171137055112008-08-30T11:49:00.000-07:002008-08-30T12:05:20.539-07:00A New Post!

Well, so a quick update in my life [= I went out on a really fun date with Niel Burnett up to the hot springs in Spanish Fork, then watched a movie. I've been on a little ice cream run with Adam from work and I've gone on a double date with Tiara with Nick and Johnney which was a blast! This past week was my birthday [= Thank you mom and dad for the beautiful flowers! Jessica and Skyler have been so great for letting me stay with them! Jessica has been taking care of me. [= Ok, so on my birthday we (Jessica, Rebecca, and I) moved my things from Jessica's house to my new dorm! After that we went and ate at Jason's Deli where Rebecca treated me. Then I went back with Rebecca to her apartment to get ready for the day [= My friend Tyler came down to wish me a happy birthday from Salt Lake, then I had a work retreat. So basically I got paid for eating pizza and playing games for two hours [= Then that night (after getting some groceries) I went over to Jessica's place again for angel food cake! Jessica made it and it tasted wonderful! I also recieved my roses then and a cute card from Eric and Cindy[= Last night was friday and Jessica and Sky treated me to Bajio's and a little frozen yogurt along with Cindy and Eric. Rebecca was a no show, because she was going to the movies. During this time I've also attended the introductory meeting for the nursing program and I'm REALLY excited about it! I've signed up for volunteer work at a nearby clinic and with a clean-up crew (pick up trash weeds and stuff every other saturday). Today I ate breakfast with my roommate and invited two guys to come sit with us. I had a blast! We stayed talking well after we were done eating. [= Then I came back to the dorm room in the hopes of confirming with mom how to get my allsports pass. Unfortunately Mom forgot to buy me one. So I talked to dad, who was really sweet about the whole thing, but all of the tickets were sold out by now. So I'm currently really bummed that I won't get to go to the opening football game today, or any others. ]= Luckily my friend Tiara's parents also bummed out on her, so after the tailgating party we are going to find some entertainment! Then tonight there's a dance at Brigham Square so I'm really excited!!!

Just as a funny side note, all freshmen get these different colored wrist bands that get them into things and such. I however, made sure that mine was loose enough when I got it (yesterday, a full two days after everyone else, lol) so I don't have to wear it [= No pointing at me and calling me freshmeat! (that's already happened to my roommate) I just got it for the important reason, THE DANCE! lol. Well that's all for now! I have to finnish my hair and go buy some more books ]=

Love yall!!!
~rosaliaRosalia Badger Longhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00043628566308674397noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8076340165867093259.post-7821448607346848122008-07-25T23:16:00.000-07:002008-07-25T23:26:00.022-07:00Hey! Since I just described my night as being completely void of anything but me, myself and I, I will fix the error. It seems someone took pity on me. I'll tell the story. So everyone was gone and I really wanted to watch seven brides for seven brothers (Krista just checked it out at the library) since it is just a vhs I knew I was going to have to watch it in the lounge. Fun, watching a movie by myself and not even in the apartment where no one could see my patheticness. Luckily, Rebecca made it back right before I was heading up to the lounge and so she said she'd follow soon. As I was going up the stairs I heard someone playing the piano (very well I might add) so I started to feel bad/nervous considering I was about to try and kick them out to watch my movie. When I made it there it was just Jesse playing and he asked me what I was doing and if he could join me in a bit. So I of course was very polite and said yes [= Then Rebecca came, the vhs would not work properly so I voted to go ask Derall if he could fix it (Rebecca said she saw him home) so we did. Derall could not fix it, it is definitely screwed up. So I thought that was going to put a complete damper on my already sad night. Luckily we just decided to watch a different movie (dvd) Half way through it, Rebecca left for an icecream date with Jeron, so I watched the rest of the movie squashed between Derall and Jesse. When the movie ended and we were all separating Jesse invited me to go get a bite to eat. So we did, ON HIS MOTORCYCYLE. (Sorry mom, I wore a helmit) It was really really fun! After we ate, we just kind of went on a joyride, then went back to his apartment and played guitar hero [= Then I came home! So all in all, my friday night was not a failure.

I love ya'll!

~rosaliaRosalia Badger Longhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00043628566308674397noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8076340165867093259.post-83717447433706225592008-07-25T18:10:00.000-07:002008-07-25T18:12:50.663-07:00WOWI seriously have too much hair for my own good.. The one where I'm in the water is from Rebecca and I's recent boating trip with Kacey! It was a BLAST! I was sore for... like four days afterwards! The next is a quick snapshot from the eighties dance I went to, my friend Lara isn't even in the photo, lol, she is the one I went to it with. She's great! The next are when I was dying of boredom the other night, you'd think I'd be able to find something to occupy my time (besides hw of course) in a town thriving with college student, but it seems sometimes my luck is pressed! So here I am on a friday night, alone at my apartment. My roommates: Rebecca-temple, Vashti-concert at temple square, Krista-musical in Orem. Rosalia-apartment.

But who knows! The night is young, maybe I'll be surprised by someone [=

Matt gets back in less than two weeks! He sent me a picture of him and one of his nephews! It's so cute!

My job, I'm an agent, I learn new things every day! I really enjoy it though! It's kind of daunting having professors and what-not calling in asking ME to fix their technical problems, but I'm appreciating everything I'm learning! The people in the office are all really really nice! Eric works in the same place as I do, so it's nice to see him! I was kind of bummed today though, because I didn't check my premium email, so I didn't know today was a dress down day! I could've worn shorts and flip-flops!!! Ohwell! I also was locked out of my apartment today, but it wasen't too tramatizing =P I just got to work in plenty of time! I definitely think I have an eating disorder, it's scaring me how much I eat and how little it fills the void of my stomach! It's ridiculous! There's hardly a moment of the day that food doesn't cross my mind! But no worries, I'm not porking up any [= Kim, Bethany? Ya'll still going to get me that scale for my dorm in the fall! lol, I'm just kidding.

Well, since I am so extremely starving, with nothing to do, I'm going to fix myself some food!

I love ya'll!

~rosaliaRosalia Badger Longhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00043628566308674397noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8076340165867093259.post-31126159653379088012008-07-15T10:27:00.000-07:002008-07-15T10:32:01.252-07:00All Around MeWell, just reading over my last post got me kind of depressed, so I would like to clarify that I am happy. I even cleaned my room and bathroom yesterday! I'm very blessed to have really nice friends [= and school work isn't quite kicking my trash yet! My ward is super friendly and has really fun activities. THERE ARE a bunch of old people (; but I think I am managing it well. My friend Matt is leaving for D.C. tomorrow so I'm pretty bummed out, but he's going to have a blast! So that's great. Rebecca is trying to take a nap in the room now so i'll end on that note.

LOVE
~rosaliaRosalia Badger Longhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00043628566308674397noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8076340165867093259.post-91991980581587097382008-07-15T10:15:00.000-07:002008-07-15T10:25:06.724-07:00Much Ado About NothingLiving in Utah has its perks, but sometimes I feel like I'm only dreaming, vaguely moving my limbs in the motion they should be. I feel like maybe tomorrow I'll wake up back home, snuggled under my satin sheets surrounded by things that I hold dear. Reality is, I know I'm here, but I just don't seem to care. I don't bother finding where things are located, I barely know my own address much less how to get here. The two places I know how to get to are BYU Campus and Jessica's home. Neither of which have complicated directions, both of which are key to my survival here.
Well, I'll get back to ya'll soon. Hopefully with something more uplifting to rant about, who knows? Maybe I'll get lucky. [=

~rosaliaRosalia Badger Longhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00043628566308674397noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8076340165867093259.post-7281557923016185212008-07-11T22:20:00.000-07:002008-07-11T22:25:57.107-07:00Hey! Rosalia here [=I figured it just wouldn't be right for me to get left out on the whole "blogging" experience. Since I have not had an account I have not been checking it regularly and it is SHOCKING what I learn about myself when I do. So college life is fun [= School is good, I really enjoy my professors! I'm taking cultural geography, writing & rhetoric (english 150) tennis, and aqua aerobics(with the anderson cousins!)! I have a few guy friends up here [= They are a load of fun! I WOULD upload new pictures, but my mother jacked the cord that would allow me to not only charge my camera, but upload pictures onto my laptop (which by the way I love [= THANKS DAD!) I just accepted a job as a tech suppport on campus, with the help of awesome Eric, and will be starting at $8.50 an hour next monday. I will keep ya'll posted later.

Love,
RosaliaRosalia Badger Longhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00043628566308674397noreply@blogger.com4
